The wait is over, Nothing released a video of showcasing the upcoming Nothing Phone 3(a) which is going to be officially launched on 4th March, 2025.
My First expression, OMG!
It’s really tech driven back panel far away from boring repeated back panels from iPhone and Samsung, in fact each and every smart phone coming into the market.
Nothing Phone 3(a) complete redesigned camera module
Nothing for the first time shifted from horizontal (Nothing Phone 2(a)) and Vertical (Phone 2, Phone 1) camera module to a complete restructured circle centered camera module. Not only just the design change they have also introduced for the first time a Periscope lens. This Sony Periscope camera capable of up-to 3x Optical Zoom, 6X lossless zoom and up-to 60x ultra zoom and also macro mode. The circle camera module is not going to be heavy, feels like the changeable circle bezels of CMF Watch 2.
Coming to actual camera specifications Nothing Phone 3(a) comes with same 50 MP Primary OIS Camera, 50 MP OIS Periscope Sony Camera, and 8 MP Ultra-wide Sony Camera. Along with 50 MP front camera.
Introducing Action Button
Though they haven’t mentioned specifically showing it’s an action button but it clearly indicates that it’s an action button, apart from regular power button, two volume controls there is a 4th button which is smooth and shiny steel finish Action Button. I feel its exactly what an action button does by an iPhone to quickly complete certain tasks like open camera, open flash light in fact any app of our choice.
Redesigned back panel
Nothing Phone 3(a) continues the Nothing’s transparent back panel form factor but this time they have went deep into the internal design of the back panel. Now they have added an aluminum design line form factor instead of regular plastic one, this one shine when the phone tilting side to side.

Colors and Glyphs
Seems they haven’t thought of releasing white color hoping they kept this color for upcoming Nothing Phone 3. Nothing Phone 3(a) going to be released in two colors Black and Dark Grey. They are almost similar to the predecessor Phone 2(a).
Also, there is no change the Glyph compartments, Nothing Phone 3(a) has also the same 3 compartments, but I am sure they might have added many functionalities to the Glyphs.
Processor
It’s not a new update but yes Nothing Phone 3(a) comes with Snapdragon 7 Zen 3 processor which is going to give super performance and battery saving.
What still not known?
Still we don’t have any information on the pricing what could be the pricing. Based on Phone 2(a) Nothing Phone 3(a) is also around Rs. 23, 999/- but my expectation is a bit more may be above Rs. 25, 000.
Also there is no information on the battery capacity, does it have wireless charging etc. Also, it’s not known how may RAM variants and how many Storage variants it can have does it have expandable SD Slot. These things will be un-convered only March 4th, 2025 in the release note by Mr. Carl Pei.
Nothing Phone 3 confirmed
In the Nothing Phone 3(a) release video it’s confirmed that Nothing Phone 3 is not far away to release and they have shown the blurred phone in the video just to set the expectations.
I am a big fan of Nothing and CMF Products, I will be one of the guys who are waiting eagerly to buy this phone. But I also assume that there will be two variants Nothing Phone 3(a) and Nothing Phone 3(a) Pro. Most Nothing phone 3(a) might not have Periscope lens which is going to cost around Rs. 23,999 and Pro version may be at around Rs. 29,999
